Francesco Guidolin is back at Palermo for a fourth time after yesterday's sacking of coach Stefano Colantuono.
Colantuono was axed by Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini after Sunday's dismal 5-0 defeat at Juventus. A statement on Palermo's website last night read: "The club wants to communicate that we have taken control of the side away from Stefano Colantuono.
"We want to thank Colantuono for all his work and the post will be given to Francesco Guidolin."
Colantuono insists he had no bitterness towards Palermo after being informed of his dismissal.
"I don't want to cause controversy - these things happen in football," he stressed. "I want to thank the club for the opportunity and I'm leaving the side in sixth place."
