Francesco Guidolin is being linked with the vacant manager's job at Parma.

Guidolin left Palermo at the end of this season and has emerged as a contender for the Parma post after talks between president Tommaso Ghirardi and Gigi del Neri broke down.

Ex-Chievo Verona coach Del Neri demanded a two-year contract, which did not sit well with Ghirardi.

It would be a return to the Emilia-Romagna region for Guidolin, who already had some success at the helm of Bologna.
