Francesco Guidolin is delighted to have taken the Udinese post.

Guidolin had a brief spell at the Stadio Friuli in 1998-99, but has since gone on to the benches of Bologna, Palermo, Genoa, Monaco and Parma.

"From the moment I left here due to some misunderstandings with the club hierarchy 12 years ago, I always held the dream of coming back to Udinese," said the new Coach.

"Today that dream has come true. I am so happy to be back here again. I worked well in Udine and feel at home here, as I consider myself a Friuli native.

"I hope to do well for the next few years too."
