Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin says coach Walter Mazzarri needs time to get his team playing as he wants.

Inter have endured an inconsistent first-half of the season under Mazzarri.

"Under Mazzarri we have started a new journey. With patience and hard work, I'm sure we can achieve great results," said Guarin.

"Qualifying for the World Cup with Brazil was a dream come true. Now we have to prepare as well as possible for the tournament proper."
