Barcelona president Sandro Rosell is attempting to convince Yaya Toure to reject a move to Manchester City.
El Mundo Deportivo says Barca coach Pep Guardiola doesn't want to lose the Ivory Coast international and is urging Rosell to talk the midfielder around into staying.
City and Barca have agreed a £28 million fee for Toure, but the deal is yet to be rubberstamped.
Rosell will follow Guardiola's lead and delay signing off on the sale until they both have spoken to Toure in a bid to convince him to stay.
