There are reports that Pep Guardiola attempted to wreck Barcelona's deal for former Santos star Neymar. Before his €57 million move to Barca, Radio Globo reports Guardiola contacted Neymar's father to urge him to move to Bayern Munich.

Guardiola argued that Neymar would have a better chance of fulfilling his potential with Bayern than Barca.

It's also claimed the former Barca coach insisted his successor, Tito Vilanova, would be incapable of getting Neymar and Lionel Messi to play successfully together.
