Pep Guardiola is preparing for a number of changes at Manchester City this summer.

Recent reports have suggested that the Spaniard could get rid of as many as 18 senior squad members at the end of his debut season in charge at the Etihad.

Following Sunday's 1-1 draw with Liverpool, Guardiola admitted that there will be alterations made but stopped short of describing exactly what will be taking place on the blue side of Manchester.

"I know them well, they know me, but of course I want to change many things in the next season," he said of his playing group.

"We will of course make changes but not what people say, because every club will do that - but I am so happy to work with these guys."

City sit third on the Premier League table with 57 points from 28 matches, 12 behind title favourites Chelsea.
