Samuel Eto'o hit a hat-trick, while Thierry Henry and Daniel Alves also managed to get on the scoresheet in another free scoring night.

Barca coach Pep Guardiola said: "I'm very happy, we feel very good, but we must start thinking about the Copa. The key is that we are in very good form. The team created many chances and they created little, that's important.

"But we still have to correct things, that's true.

"The team is working hard and has talent. The spread of goals is a good sign. As a coach I do not remember starting a season with so many goal scorers. I am proud of my players."
