Liverpool have Pep Guardiola on their new thee-man shortlist.

The Daily Star Sunday says Wigan boss Roberto Martinez, 38, and ex-Chelsea coach Andre Villas-Boas, 34, are the two other candidates to replace Kenny Dalglish.

Anfield bosses will make on final push in the next 48 hours hoping a Luis Suarez link will tempt Guardiola, 41, out of his self-enforced break after leaving Barcelona.

Suarez's agent is Guardiola's younger brother Pere and Liverpool want him to convince Pep to join the Reds.
