Guardiola tells Man City chief Txiki he wants Man Utd

Pep Guardiola isn't interested in the Manchester City job - as he wants to stay available for the Manchester United post. The Daily Star Sunday says City sporting director Txiki Begiristain met with the Spaniard but the former Barcelona boss told friends it is the United job he wants.

That is expected to be available in the summer with Sir Alex Ferguson planning to retire but even if he changes his mind, Guardiola is prepared to wait.

In a huge snub to City, Guardiola, 41, would extend his sabbatical should Fergie decide to stay.
