Guardiola read riot act to Barcelona stars after Osasuna shock

Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola steamed into his players yesterday after their defeat at Osasuna. Sport says until Sunday, Guardiola had avoided berating his players after a series of losses, but this time he did not hold back. The coach did not single out individuals, but made it clear the defensive errors committed at Osasuna were not good enough.

After his rant, Guardiola then switched focus to the Champions League and urged his players to bounce back against Bayer Leverkusen.

"We are the defending champions and we must defend our title," he declared. "It depends on us if we are to win this trophy again - no-one else."
