Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is urging fans to embrace the Champions League ahead of this week's clash with Shakhtar Donetsk.
The Catalan is so determined to improve the atmosphere on European nights that he plans to reach out to supporters via his own social media channels.
“We need our fans - hopefully they can come," said Guardiola. “In the Champions League we know they have a little bit more problems.
“I use my social media to say 'come next Tuesday to help us,' because in Champions League one step back and you are in trouble.
“If you are able to win, you are able to make a huge step to be in the last 16 in February."
