Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany will not be shown the door by incoming manager Pep Guardiola, according to reports.
The Daily Mirror is reporting the Guardiola is planning an overhaul of City's squad when he takes the reigns at the Etihad Stadium this summer, but Kompany is not one of the players on the chopping block.
Kompany has been plagued by a persistent calf injury this campaign, but it is believed City have assured the 29-year-old the club will stick by him as he attempts to regain full fitness.
It is understood City's sporting director Txiki Begiristain has received a raft of calls from the agents of players in England, Spain, Italy and Germany since Guardiola was announced as Manuel Pellegrini's successor.
Guardiola is expected to make room to sign four or five new players during the summer transfer window.
