Barcelona have seen their Primera Liga lead cut to four points after their defeat to Atletico Madrid last night. Barca were leading 3-2 with less than 15 minutes remaining before Atletico strikers Diego Forlan and Sergio Aguero both struck to stun the visitors.
Despite the result, Barca coach Pep Guardiola maintained they were the better team and there was no need for concern.
"We have lost an exciting game that was end-to-end," said Guardiola. "I must congratulate Atletico.
"When a team dominates possession of ball, they must be stronger. Atletico played very direct football and have created problems for us. The game was back and forth, a typical Atletico Madrid-Barcelona match.
"We have seen our lead at the top of the table cut in the last three weeks, but there is still three months of the season to go. We will rise again."
