Pep Guardiola has explained the reasons for David Silva's absence from the Manchester City team on Wednesday night.
The Spanish playmaker was in the original starting line-up for the originally scheduled Tuesday night Champions League clash with Borussia Monchengladbach.
However, Silva was withdrawn from the match day squad for the postponed meeting which City won 4-0 at the Etihad Stadium.
Asked of the odd move, Guardiola said: "For him, it is not a big problem but enough for him not to play.
"I don't know if he will be in time to play against Bournemouth but hopefully, against Swansea he will be ready."
City next meet the Cherries at the Etihad on Saturday before taking on the Swans in Wales in the EFL (League) Cup next week.
