Pep Guardiola has made it clear to Barcelona president Sandro Rosell he wants AC Milan defender Thiago Silva for next season. Sportmediaset says the Brazilian's capture is part of a list of demands Guardiola has submitted to the Barca board if he is to sign a new contract.

Guardiola is a huge fan of Thiago Silva, who sparked controversy last month when admitting he'd like to one day play for Barca.

Milan are confident of keeping hold of the centre-half, however, with many regarding him as currently the best in the world.
