Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola isn't panicking over their pursuit of West Brom defender Jonny Evans.
Guardiola is determined to strengthen his squad with a new centre back, but has been knocked back with an £18 million bid for West Brom's Evans.
Guardiola said: “Evans is a player for West Brom, Tony (Pulis) was clear on that.
“We tried to build the best squad as possible, it's a long season, so we're going to see how the market finishes.
“But if we have to stay with the players we have right now, then we're happy – just as if someone comes then we're happy too.
“I know what the club wants. And we try to do our best. Sometimes that's possible, sometimes not."
