Albano Guaraldi has put Bologna up for sale.
The club president was deeply hurt after fans staged protests during the 2-2 draw with Sampdoria and expressed his intention to walk away.
“If I went back, I probably wouldn’t make the same decision to buy a majority stake in the club,” he told a local radio station.
“I accepted the Presidency propelled by the enthusiasm of the shareholders without thinking I’d raise the expectations of the fans, the same supporters who are now protesting against me.
“I must learn to control certain aspects of communication better, but as of today I really couldn’t tell you how to recover the relationship with part of the fanbase.”
