Guangzhou Fuli are also showing interest in Blackburn Rovers striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni.
The Nigeria international is still under contract at Ewood Park but has attracted the interest of Guangzhou Evergrande with Chinese Super League rivals Fuli now also on the radar.
It is believed that Guangzhou Fuli are set to offer Yakubu, who is a target for both QPR and West Ham United, around £4.8million a season.
"Yakubu is our first choice and everything is going well now. We hope he will be in Guangzhou this weekend," Guangzhou's deputy director Lu Yi told Jinghua Times.
