Guangzhou Evergrande and rivals Beijing Guoan are both ready to tempt Wayne Rooney away from Manchester United.

Rooney is to be offered a stunning £700,000-a-week to quit Manchester United for China this summer.

The Mirror says Chinese Super League champions Guangzhou Evergrande and rivals Beijing Guoan are ready to splash the cash to bring Rooney to the Far East.

And Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho will not stand in his way if the striker, who hit his 250th goal in the 1-1 draw against Stoke on Saturday, wants to go.

“I don't know, it's up to him," Mourinho said. “I don't like to be critical of players who decide to go to China. It's their life, it's their organisation of their life, their organisation of their career."
