Guadalajara's Bravo joins Kansas City Wizards

Guadalajara striker Omar Bravo has joined MLS club Kansas City Wizards according to Spanish website MedioTiempo.com.

The 30-year old Spaniard will become a Wizards player after the 2010 season as he will be loaned back to Guadalajara despite the fact the US club now owns his rights.

A translation of the report was provided by mls-rumiors.net.

'His contract ended today, but after several negotiations with the Directors of Chivas the MLS league and the Kansas City Wizards, Omar Bravo will play the remainder of the 2010 Apertura and Copa Santander Libertadores Final said Guadalajara President Jorge Vergara Chivas.

"We reached an agreement with the player to stay with us until December, we are very happy and he will play the final of the Copa Santander Libertadores and the 2010 Chivas Apertura ," he said in a newsletter sent by the club's media department.

'In win-win negotiations, as Wizards acquired the player's federative rights to Deportivo La Coruna, but as the MLS team is in last place in their tournament and has no chance of entering the playoffs, Chivas borrowed Bravo until December in return for paying his salary.'
