Gspurning revels in Seattle Sounders derby win over Portland Timbers

Seattle Sounders goalkeeper Michael Gpsurning was over the moon after helping his side record a 1-0 home victory over Portland Timbers on Sunday.

The Sounders edged their Cascadia rivals in front of a massive crowd of 67,385 (Pacific Northwest record) at CenturyLink Field and Austrian gloveman Gspurning said it would be an even he will remember for a very long time.

"It's absolutely a highlight in my career, this night," Gspurning said.

"Playing in front of 68,000, playing a derby, playing a great game with a win: awesome night. A night I will remember in 20 years."
