Grossman ready to quit Queensland Roar

Chris Grossman admits he is considering a move away from Queensland Roar.

"It's been frustrating, but at the same time Frank's got his plans and he goes about it the way he sees best for the team," said Grossman, who revealed his agent had been in contact with A-League expansion clubs Gold Coast United and North Queensland.

"I'd love to stay here, but I haven't heard too much at the moment. You do get a little worried, but in saying that there's a lot of players coming off contract and there's also two new clubs coming in, so there's going to be a lot of player movement."

Grossman admitted he was becoming tired of being reminded he was at the stage of his career where he needed to be playing regular first team football.

"I've been told that a few times by a lot of people I talk to fairly often. It's something that a footballer needs," he told the Courier Mail.

"I have high expectations of myself and I probably would have expected to play more but considering the midfielders I'm against every week - Danny (Tiatto), Massimo (Murdocca), Matty (McKay) and now Charlie (Miller) - it makes it extremely tough to get a spot in that midfield.

"But I've definitely learned a hell of a lot here, so it hasn't been a disappointing experience at the Roar.

"I've made a lot of good mates as well and they won't be far away if I leave."
