Grossman: North Queensland Fury players have a lot of respect for Straka

North Queensland Fury midfielder Chris Grossman says the players already have a lot of respect for new coach Franz Straka.

Grossman has revealed that the Czech tactician has made a very positive impact since taking over from Ian Ferguson earlier this year and is confident it will pay dividends for the upcoming A-League season.

"Franz has come in and brought in a few different ideas and it's very, very structured this year," Grossman said.

"Every player knows what their job to do is and every player is really fighting for each other, which is bringing a good mentality to the squad this year and hopefully it'll bring a finals spot or a good finish.

"Where he's been, he's got a good track record and he brings a lot of respect and he expects a lot back, so the players are prepared to work for him," Grossman added.

"Everyone's prepared to dig for themselves and we know we've got a good shot this year to make better than what we did last year, so we're all out to prove a point."
