Tjaronn Chery is on the verge of completing a reported move to Aston Villa.

FC Groningen winger Chery has been a target for Villa this summer and it was reported recently that the Premier League side had placed a bid of around £3.5million for his signature.

While it has not yet been confirmed whether Groningen have accepted the offer, Chery is believed to be edging towards a move to Villa Park after the 27-year old did not attend the Dutch side's first pre-season training session this week.
