FC Groningen chief Hans Nijland admits it is in their interests that Leandro Bacuna continues to shine for Aston Villa.
Bacuna scored and had an assist in Villa's win over Manchester City last weekend.
"If Leo continues to develop, it will be good for us," said Nijland.
"If Leandro is resold, FC Groningen gets twenty percent of the transfer amount. That's a lot of money in football."
PEC Zwolle coach Ron Jans, who has also worked with Bacuna, added: "Leandro is a great guy and a real winner."
