Adam Griffiths could make a shock return to Gold Coast United just over 12 months after joining the A-League club.
The 30-year old defender signed with Saudi Arabian club Al Shabab last year on a lucrative deal and after making just six appearances has left the Riyadh-based outfit.
Griffiths appeared at Gold Coast training yesterday indicating he may be set for a return to the A-League but United coach Miron Bleiberg was non-committal on his plans for the former Newcastle Jets centre-back.
"I'm going to talk to Adam," said Bleiberg.
"I said to Adam 'have two training sessions and see how you feel and then we will talk again'."
