Griffin warns Stoke pals of Premiership demands

Andy Griffin has warned Stoke City teammates they must be prepared to roll up their sleeves in next season's Premiership.

The fullback said: "In the Championship we were a big, physical, dominant team. We played a direct way of football which suited us down to the ground.

"In the Premier League, first and foremost you have to do the ugly side before you earn the right to play football. If a team doesn't work hard, it doesn't get results.

"Man United work hard, but also have the fantastic talent in all the players they have.

"We haven't got that, but hopefully, with two or three additions, it will be a very interesting season for us."
