Griffin still hopeful of Stoke stay

Andy Griffin hasn't ruled out staying with Stoke City.

Experienced fullback Griffin has returned from a successful loan spell at Reading, but City boss Tony Pulis says he'll listen to offers for the 31-year-old club captain.

Griffin says he is open to offers from the Premier League and the Championship, but would gladly remain at Stoke.

"Reading manager Brian McDermott has said he would like me back and has let that be known," Griffin told The Sentinel.

"He knows me as a character and what kind of player I am, but we will have to wait and see what happens on that one. I'm not going to just dismiss an offer from them, but I'm not sure what will happen over the summer. I'll stay by the telephone and wait and see."
