Blackburn midfielder Vince Grella limped out of the Socceroos final training session in Yokohama. Team officials say that it was a precautionary move to rest Grella who has been struggling with a calf injury recently.

It would be a major loss to Pim Verbeek's squad if Grella was to miss tonight's important World Cup qualifier against Japan.

The extent of his injury is unknown and he may still take his part in the match.
