Vince Grella's horrible luck with injuries has continued after he was forced off the pitch in last night's Blackburn Rovers reserves match.

The Australia international limped off in the 80th minute of the scoreless draw with Manchester City and looked distraught as he left the field of play.

But after the match, Grella confirmed that it 'was just a knock' sustained in a clash of knees and that he would be 'fine'.

Grella has had an injury-plagued season for the Lancashire club and was hoping to get himself back to full fitness ahead of the World Cup in June.

Although he did ease Blackburn's injury woes by saying he was fine, it will be interesting to see if he gets up for this weekend's clash with Manchester United at Ewood Park.
