Blackburn Rovers midfielder Vince Grella will be sidelined once again this season after sustaining an injury in the 0-0 FA Cup draw with Sunderland.

It us unknown how long he will miss but Rovers boss Sam Allardyce confirmed it came from a poor challenge.

"The referee missed it," Allardyce told the club's official website.

"Vince has a bad knock and that is a blow.

"To see him get injured to a poor challenge was very disappointing to say the least.

"It was a blow to him and blow to us."
