Manchester United earned a late win for their UEFA Youth League opener against Young Boys yesterday.
Nicky Butt's side were tied level at a goal apiece until the 93rd minute, when captain Angel Gomes stepped up to convert a penalty after substitute Brandon Williams was brought down in the area.
Tahith Chong had missed an early sitter before giving away a penalty that Young Boys defender Jan Kronig duly tucked home.
Mason Greenwood restored parity six minutes later but it was a frustrating wait for United to find a winner.
Gomes showed nerves of steel to dispatch the spot kick late on.
