West Brom skipper Jonathan Greening is urging club chiefs to secure Zoltan Gera to a new contract.
The Express & Star says former Albion manager Gary Megson, who is now in charge at Bolton, is a known admirer of Gera while Middlesbrough have been the subject of long-standing rumours linking them with a move.
"We all want Zolly to stay and we have said that from the beginning," said Greening. "He is a really popular player with the squad and we will be sad to see him leave if he does go."
