Greening still holds West Brom boss Mowbray in high regard

West Brom are bottom of the Premiership pile but boss Tony Mowbray still enjoys the confidence of captain Jonathan Greening. Despite their perilous position the Baggies skipper reveals that the whole squad are totally behind the manager and even insists that the team has improved since the former Hibernian boss took over in October 2006.

"All the players and the staff love the gaffer," he said.

"He is a top guy and a top coach, and we all believe in the way he likes to play.

"I think it is definitely the right way to play in the Premier League and we get a lot of plaudits for the way we play.

"If we could stay up for the gaffer, it would be a great achievement because people have been saying all season we will get relegated playing this way.

"He got us into the Premier League in his first full season at the club and, since he has been here, the club has come on leaps and bounds."
