Greening confident West Brom can compete in Premiership

Jonathan Greening is confident West Brom can compete in next season's Premiership.

"We're really dedicated to doing well next year," Baggies skipper Greening told BBC WM. "We're thinking if we can get a few players who the gaffer wants to bring in and play the way we like to play, we've got every chance of doing well."

Greening was thrilled to lift the Championship trophy after the final whistle at Loftus Road.

"It's just amazing. Just to lift it and be part of such a brilliant squad with a great team spirit, it's been brilliant, it's been a pleasure.

"I think it's the first league title I've won since I was 11 so I'm going to cherish it."

The former Manchester United and Middlesbrough midfielder is keenly aware that Albion were considered the best footballing team in the division, but knew they had to live up to that label.

"Everyone's been saying all year that we've been playing the best football, but we had to get the results," he said. "Everyone's really pleased for the gaffer and the coaching staff."
