Prospective Rangers owner Charles Green has implored clubs in the Scottish Premier League to keep the Glasgow giants in the top flight.
The Ibrox club have fallen into liquidation and could be forced down to the Third Division as a newco but Green feels that would be devastating for the already fragile state of Scottish football and hopes at least eight SPL clubs vote yes for 'Gers to remain.
"If Rangers are suspended there is no Sky TV contract.
"There would be no Old Firm derbies. There would be no revenue for the smaller clubs when Rangers turn up.
"The knock-on effect from that would be catastrophic for Scottish football.""Let there be no doubt my first priority is Rangers. But I'm equally concerned about Scottish football," Green said.
