Great Britain coach Stuart Pearce is set to select Tottenham fullback Kyle Walker for the London Olympics.

The Daily Mail says Pearce will whittle down his list of Olympic hopefuls to 35 next week and the 22-year-old looks set to make the cut so long as he can prove his fitness.

Arsenal's Jack Wilshere looks as if he will miss out, however.

Despite Pearce's desire to select him, it's understood the 20-year-old is '99 per cent certain' not to be selected after deciding it would be too risky given his injury-hit 12 months.
