Leeds boss Simon Grayson has suggested in-demand striker Jermaine Beckford will be offered new terms if the Whites are promoted. United's leading scorer is out of contract in the summer and available on a free transfer to interested parties.
Grayson accepts is it a challenge to compete with Premier League clubs in terms of contracts, but hints they still have a chance of keeping him on.
"It's difficult for us to compete with Premier League clubs," Grayson told the Daily Express.
"If we get promoted at the end of the season there's every chance we might make him a new offer.
"But while Jermaine is here we expect him to be focused and keep doing what he has been doing."
