New Huddersfield boss Simon Grayson will not be bringing in any new players after targeting automatic promotion from League One this season for his new club Huddersfield.

"It doesn't happen that often when you come into a job where the team has a great chance of promotion," he told the club's official website. "We have got some good young players and some experienced heads - there isn't a lot wrong with the squad."

He added: "What I will try and do is bring my own philosophy to the team.

"Huddersfield Town is a big football club with prospects of progression over the next few years and that's why I'm here - to achieve that target."

The 42-year-old, who has achieved promotion from npower League One with Blackpool and Leeds, added: "The aim is automatic promotion, the gap is seven points and there are 16 games to go and I believe that is attainable.

"I have met the players and I don't believe there is any need to bring any new recruits in.

"I suppose if I feel like I need to get someone in then the chairman will back me, but it's a new start for everybody and my decisions will be based on how the players do in training."
