Jamie Redknapp is being lined up for a move to Portsmouth.

The News of the World says Pompey boss Avram Grant wants Jamie Redknapp as his assistant.

Grant is looking for a younger No.2 to pass on his ideas in training while he concentrates on tactics and player recruitment.

The ex-Chelsea manager hopes the links of Jamie's dad Harry with Pompey will persuade the former Liverpool and Tottenham midfielder, 36, to give up his TV pundit career to join him on the south coast.
