Avram Grant wants Portsmouth fullback Nadir Belhadj to join him at West Ham United.

Grant, who will be named Hammers boss this week, has identified the £3million-rated Algerian as a key transfer target.

Belhadj, 27, can play at left-back or left-wing and is also wanted by Roma.
