Chelsea boss Avram Grant was visibly upbeat after last night's 1-1 draw at Liverpool in their Champions League semifinal first-leg.

It was five days since a win at Everton had rendered him grumpy, awkward and virtually silent, and the Chelsea boss could not keep the smile from his face.

The Daily Mail says Grant didn't exactly sweep into his press conference but there was definitely a hint of a spring in his step. Then it was down on to the Anfield touchline for a friendly chat with Yossi Benayoun as Liverpool players warmed down.
