West Ham United boss Avram Grant has told Carlton Cole the club needs him.
Cole scored twice in the second half in victory over Manchester United, lifting the England striker's tally to three goals in 19 appearances this season.
The 27-year-old has been criticised for his recent form but Grant believes he is starting to impress once again.
"Carlton lost a little bit of his confidence and was not fully fit on the physical side as well," he said.
"But in the last few weeks he's been working really hard and I'm delighted. We need him because he's a good striker."
