Grant looking to Chelsea kids to make impact

Chelsea boss Avram Grant admits part of his blueprint is to begin bringing more young players through the club and into the first team.

Grant declared: "We have a big squad and we haven't played any game with the same 11 and it will continue like that tomorrow (today against Leicester City) and Saturday.

"We want to use all the big squad because we play three important games every week.

"Our target is to use young players, not only in the Carling Cup, but in the league. But they need to be good and they need to be talented.

"We are working on this very hard in the academy and game-by-game we will use more young players. But they need to be good.

"I think the rotation is important because you can keep the players fresh. But it is more important that everyone will make his contribution to the team. So the team will be rotated like it was last Saturday."
