West Ham United boss Avram Grant insists they've improved since he took over.
Grant says he has a stronger squad than the one he inherited from Gianfranco Zola but they have suffered because there are no teams as weak as Hull, Burnley and his former side Portsmouth were last season.
He said: "The whole league is stronger because last year the teams that were down at the bottom were very weak. There are no teams under liquidation this year. We have a better squad than last year but we also need to remember that there is no Hull City this time and no Burnley.
"You see Hull and Burnley and where they are now? They are not even fighting to come back up. And they were in the Premier League. So this season's league is much better."
