Avram Grant has defended his record as Chelsea manager after withering criticism from Jose Mourinho.
"Jose says that I did 'nothing' in the League," Grant told the News of the World.
"Perhaps his memory is failing him because my winning ratio of games was second to none. We won all the big games at home when I was in charge, beating Arsenal, United and Liverpool.
"I am told one of the best in their history. We won all the big games at home when I was in charge.
"If we hadn't started the season so badly under Jose, we would have been champions - it's a fact - but the dropped points cost us dearly at the end. We paid the price for a poor start under his guidance.
"When I was in charge last year, nobody said we were playing boring, ugly, negative football. The problem with Jose is that he thinks he has to fight with everyone, his ego comes before his team sometimes. But the club is bigger than all of us.
"I still respect his two championships but we think totally differently about football. We have not spoken since he walked out. I think he thinks the manager or the coach is the star, whereas I think the players are the stars.
"For me it's like a movie, you know who the director is but everyone knows the performers are the real stars of the show. I believe that positive football brings winning ways, he believes in other types of football. I believe the players are the stars but he thinks he's the show."
