Palermo are close to clinching a deal for Triestina striker Pablo Granoche.

The Uruguayan is set to move to Sicily and then be sent away on-loan. Granoche said: "I think that would be the best thing for me.

"If I am signed, I'll ask Palermo about whether I will be playing. I've spoken to Edinson Cavani and he speaks highly of the city. I am looking forward to playing for one of the most prestigious clubs in Serie A."
