QPR midfielder Esteban Granero has defended the club's foreign legion.

Even skipper Clint Hill questioned whether Rangers' foreign players were hurting over being bottom of the Premier League.

Granero said: "At Chelsea everyone saw the players who arrived in the summer gave everything - that they cared just as much as anyone on the pitch.

"Of course I didn't expect to be fighting relegation when I came.

"But that is the situation we are in so we have to accept that and fight hard to stay up."
