Grand Rapids FC have become the second owner-operated soccer franchise in the USA.
Following in the footsteps of Nashville FC, who made their National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) debut earlier this month, Grand Rapids has been launched as the next fully supporter-owned club in American soccer.
The club, which plans to be in the NPSL by 2015, is taking membership donations of $100 which can be lodged at their official website.
Just a few days ago, Grand Rapids FC posted on Twitter that they had already taken in 100 members which has them well on their way to their membership goal.
